A Whole Lotta Random

Today I’m going to just tell you everything that’s on my mind because it’s Thinking Out Loud, of course!

1. It feels pretty good to be home, but I still feel like I’m only here for a short amount of time. In reality, I’m here for an indefinite amount of time. Serious biz. So serious that I now have my own cupboard in the kitchen! In a perfect world, my family would just eat all of the same things I do ;) but for now, this’ll do .

2. On the way home from Canada, Cassie and I wanted to stop at a specific outlet mall because we saw on the way in to the country that it had a Lululemon store. We were pretty ridiculous about it and dead-set on making it there before it closed at 6 pm on Sunday. We took two wrong exits, I believe, and finally asked someone where the outlet was. When we spotted the correct outlet, we still took a few wrong turns. Luckily we made it there with about 20 minutes left to shop, and you better believe we both walked out holding a bag.

I think the color of this one is shhhweeeet. And you can’t really tell but the little side panels there are a slightly different fabric.

Both Cassie and I bought this purple top. *twinz*
I really think the back is cool, and I don’t have any other shirts like it. It’ll be nice for yoga in the summer, especially because the bottom is banded so that it won’t slide up during my practice!

3. Hockey season has come and gone with no win for the Pens, once again. I’m pretty salty about it. That’s all I have to say about that right now.

4. Are you getting ready for summer? Excited?! I am! Summer is my second favorite season (behind fall, and only because there’s no focus on pumpkins and ghosts). I have a lot of plans for the season already, and even though it’ll be different than most other summers – no real “end” to it – I think it’ll still be grand. I think I’ll put up another summer bucket list soon, just like last year.

5. I’M SO HAPPY TO BE NEAR A TRADER JOE’S AGAIN.

6. I need to get back on the hot yoga train. I’d fallen off for monetary reasons, but I really need the structured classes in my life to supplement what I do in my own time.

7. I also need to join my gym. Have I ever told you that I only have one 5-pound weight and one 10-pound weight at my house? Why did I think that was a good idea way back when? Who buys only one size of a weight. I do. Classic.

Alright, that’s good for now. I’m going to go fill up my coffee mug and continue looking for jobs.

Questions for the Day:
>> Would you ever detour your road trip for a store? What store?
>> If you watch hockey, what team are you hoping wins the cup? I think I want the Canadiens to take it, but I know for sure I don’t want Chicago to win. Sorry, Chicagoans.
>> What is one random thing you’re thinking today?

  1. I think it’s awesome that you took a detour in your road trip to stop at Lulu. I’ve never been to one of their stores before.. .Is that bad? We don’t have any here, but you better believe the next time I’m in the area of one, I’ll have to stop in. I’m not a hockey person except to watch local college games. They’re SO much fun. I’m daydreaming about planting my garden this weekend! It’s going to be my first garden ever, so I can’t wait to get started. Lol. I love how you have one five-pound and one ten-pound.That cracks me up. Thanks for sharing. I love reading these.

    1. I’m glad you like reading them! Sometimes I think random can be annoying but I just like being random sometimes. It’s not bad that you haven’t been to a Lulu before! We only have 2 stores in the Pgh area. But I love them! You’re right too, college hockey is really fun. My (I can say this now) alma mater had a great team with some crazy fans.

  2. I would drive a ridiculous amount to get discounted Lulu clothes! I basically live in them, so I need as many as I can get my hands on so that I don’t have to do my laundry so often  And I used to be crazy about hockey, but ever since the Oilers started sucking big time, I totally fell off the wagon. I actually forgot that it was playoff season!

  3. I totally would for a whole foods trip! And lululemon! and Jcrew haha
I can relate about the cupboard in your parents house, I currently have the same thing going on haha

  4. Hahaha the one size of each weight thing…classic. You just wanted to do a lot of overhead tricep work, right? haha. That stuff from Lululemon is great – I love tanks with a built-in bra. Which reminds me I have a giftcard to use there…. :)

  5. Some stores are absolutely worth detours – Lululemon included. And Whole Foods, and Trader Joes…yup, I’m a walking blogger stereotype. I own exactly three things from Lulu but I want more…but then there’s the lack of affordability thing.

  6. Loving those lulu tops!! I would have been totally obsessed over hitting up the lulu outlet before it closed too, and props on choosing the fun colors! And yes, hop back on the hot yoga train!! You will feel so much better– yoga is a game changer. Oh, and totally laughing about buying one of each weight. I would definitely do that too… except for the fact that I’ve been putting off buying weights for a few too many years. ;)

    1. I bought those weights back in HS, and I’m really not sure what I was trying to accomplish by doing so. And yes! I feel infinitely better when I go to hot yoga classes. There’s just something about sweating!

  7. I would definitely detour a roadtrip to stop at a store! Definitely for Whole Foods or Trader Joes and Lulu if I had some extra cash in my account to spend. I love the purple top you got, especially the bands. Aww hot yoga…I need to try it!!! The concept of “summer” just makes life so much more enjoyable!

    1. Hahah okay first I have to say your blog name is hilarious, and I love it. Whenever I’m away from any of my favorite stores for too long it makes me crazy! I’m a big fan of Aerie and for the longest time there was only one Aerie store in my area so it was always a trip to get to it.

      1. Thanks!

I’ve definitely been guilty of paying a ridiculous amount to ship stuff to Australia from American Eagle. Whoops. Guess it doesn’t really matter if it’s on sale when you pay and extra $50 to get it here!

  8. I’ve taken detours for many a store/restaurant before. It’s kind of a bad habit. I guess I want the Wild to win. I’ll explain why later. Are they even still in the cup? I don’t know, I don’t care about hockey anymore. :(

  9. I would obviously take a detour on a road trip to go shopping. I have also taken a road trip solely for the purpose of shopping, so then there’s that. I have one foam roller and one yoga mat at home…so I can do even less than you can!

  10. Detours with girlfriends do some shopping are always the best kinds – esp. if some good is involved too! I actually made a detour on the way home once to stop at the local TJ… even if I had lived within 3 minutes of one Haha!

Adorable tops by the way. I love the back of the purple one. So adorable.

  11. Finishing school definitely feels so weird! I know when I was done in December, I had it in the back of my mind that I was going back for spring semester…took awhile for it to really set it! We have an outlet for Lulu in MN, but it is in the Twin Cities, so I don’t make it there too often. And I wish I was close to a Trader Joe’s #dreaming
